    Javier Milara is a transdisciplinary artist with architectural education, and a wide experience as photographer, video editor, graphic designer and live media professional. He is specially focused into designing and producing immersive videoinstallations, researching the potential that non-tectonic devices have in generating spatial sensations.

    25/09/2009. Berlin, Germany. Video installation “Jørn Utzon Borealis‘ was the winner of the popular vote online international prize Celeste Prize, in the category Live Media.

Corporate ‘(within the group TEKKNOBORDERSS) in the Education Fair and New Technologies, held in Don Benito (Badajoz), for technological Albetización Regional Plan of the Board of Extremadura, five video projectors, 10 computers, a sound systems, screens three dimensions with transparency effects. 5000 spectators attended over four days.

Audiovisual and theatrical design, production, coordination and direct action in the video installation ‘Ur: City One’, held in a Renaissance church desecrated for the International Festival of Contemporary Art and New Media at Florence (Italy), July 2500 ANSI projectors lumen, 12 computers, sound system and projection screens with surround more than 15 meters.

    December 2002 – July 2003. Extremadura, Spain. Screenplay, audiovisual and theatrical design, production, coordination and direct action theatrical / performance ‘KharmaZero: burn the Hurdes’, within the Technology Literacy Plan board of Extremadura, with performances in different locations in Extremadura geography; 5 projectors, 15 computers, sound system, stage lights, special effects, three structural sculptures iron concentrations of 3 feet in hand, summer fires charred trees, latex translucent screens, live musical performance, and performance.

    December 2002. Castuera (Badajoz), Spain. Audiovisual and theatrical design, production, coordination and action live audiovisual performances envelopes / urban ‘Tele-Vision’ in the collective TEKKNOBORDERSS) held during the celebration of the fifteenth anniversary of the People’s University of Castuera, with 20 computers, 5 2000 ANSI lumen projectors and other outdoor 5,000 for a church projections (projection size: 80 meters), wraparound screens in three dimensions, two sound systems.

    08/09/2.002. Mérida (Badajoz), Spain. Visual composition and live performance ‘Linda’ (with help from Sergio Moreno), Extremadura’s Day at the Teatro Romano de Mérida. With a 20000 ANSI lumen projector to achieve projections of over 60 meters wide.

    20/04/2.002. Cáceres, Spain. Audiovisual and theatrical design, production, coordination and direct action in the video installation ‘Version 3.0′ in the WEWEARBUILDINGS multidisciplinary group for the International Festival of Art and New Technologies Makinarte, in the Auditorium of Caceres. Using four projectors, seven computers, a sound system and surround screens in three dimensions.
